You will minimise wastages, ensure proper maintenance of the machines to avoid breakdowns and maintain discipline amongst staff. You will build, develop and motivate an effective team by providing good leadership and guidance to achieve production targets.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS : 

  • A graduate of Mechanical Engineering, you must have a minimum of 5 years’ production management experience. 
  • A good knowledge of operating the extruding and thermoforming machines is required for this position.

Job Description
Under the overall guidance of the DCD (Operations) and direct supervisor of the Finance Specialist, the Finance Associate ensures effective execution of financial services and processes in CO and transparent utilization of financial resources. The Finance Associate promotes a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.
The Finance Associate can supervise clerical and support staff of the Finance Unit. The Finance Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff in the CO, focusing on payment processing, Bank Reconciliation and other Finance related functions as may be assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of Key Functions:

  • Maintenance of the Accounts Receivables for UNDP projects and follow-up with partners on contributions, deposits creation in Atlas and their application to AR pending items.
Ensures proper CO cash management functioning focusing on achievement of the following results:
  • Timely review of cash position for local accounts to ensure sufficient funds on hand for disbursements. Timely identification and recording of receipts for income application.
  • Daily review of zero-balance account bank statements in Atlas to monitor imprest level; identification and recording of contributions.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of bank reconciliations.
  • Timely preparation of monthly cash flow forecast for use by Operations Manager/ Finance Specialist.

Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO focusing on achievement of the following results:
  • Organization of trainings for the operations/ projects staff on Finance.

Responsibilities:

Specifications:

TY Danjuma Foundation seeks to engage a competent and experienced person for the position of Finance and Administration Manager.

The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility for fiduciary and administrative activities of the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Corporate Planning: Manages corporate planning, systems design, financial projections, financial policies and control procedures.
  • Finance Management: Develops and manages annual budgets – including CAPEX and OPEX, Forecasting, Cash Flow, as well as Financial/ Management Reporting
  • Financial Accounting & Tax: Prepares final accounts – including balance sheets and cash flow, maintains an assets register, manages employee and corporate tax matters, manages accounting software, and coordinates financial reporting and insurance.
  • Administrative Functions: Coordinates human resources management; logistics; inventory; procurement; facilities and ancillary services for the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Specifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Management Science or other closely related field. Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
  • 5+ years’ experience, some of which must be in a similar role, in the not-for-profit sector or comparable organisation.
  • A Chartered Accountant is desirable.
  • A registered professional with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management is desirable.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to present, IFRS – Based financial reports is critical.
  • High level of professionalism, courage, accountability, and personal integrity. 
  • Excellent organizational, writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and capable of anticipating organisational needs.
  • Efficient and prudent allocation of human and financial resources.
  • Familiarity with and ability to use accounting packages is critical to this role.

Primary Partners

Data Entry Officers

Applicants for this position must possess an OND , NCE or above in Secretarial Studies/Administration or any of the Management Sciences. They must be capable of spelling English and local names accurately and highly skilled in computer operating. Applicants must not be above 35 years as at 31st December 2016.

Position 3-9

Applicants must possess a good degree in a relevant discipline with not less than 2nd Class Upper Classification. Possession of relevant professional qualification is an advantage. At least three years working experience acquired in a top rated or blue chip organization is essential. Applicants for Internal Auditor or Financial Controllership must be members of any of the following: ACCA, ICAN, ACA, CPA, ICMA, ANAN or any other acceptable professional body. Exposure in any of the big four accounting firms (KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Ernest & Young) will definitely be an advantage. Position 10-12

Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 O'level credits including English language and Mathematics obtained at one sitting of either NECO, WAEC or NABTEB.

Consultants
