Commodity Trader : Reports to: Head of Products

Department: Purchasing/Products
Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose of Statement:
This role is responsible for planning and selecting a range of products to sell in order to capture market share taking into consideration customer demand, price, quality, availability, timeliness, market trends and financial budgets.

Key Accountabilities:
·         Find the right suppliers of quality products
·         Place orders for merchandise based on accurate analysis with planner
·         Ensure all suppliers meet up with lead-time delivery
·         Responsible for total sale of all inventory purchased
·         Maintain relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
·         Attend trade events
·         Procure quality merchandise at the right price, within the right amount of time
·         Negotiate best possible prices

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·         This position requires a University graduate or its equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in Inventory/Operational/Logistics side of retail, E-commerce or in a similar position
·         Strong understanding of retail math and concepts, highly detail-oriented and extremely organized
·         Great negotiation skills and ability to network and influence people
·         Willingness to travel at very short notice
·         Candidate must possess ability to multi task in a dynamic environment
·         A good understanding of inventory procedures would give added advantage

Deal Quality Control Officer (Price & Products)

Reports to: Head of Products
Department: Deal Quality Control Officer (Price & Products)
Job Location: Lagos,Nigeria

Purpose Statement:
Responsible for price and quality of Proprietary Goods, taking into consideration shipping costs, handling charges and VAT.
Key Accountabilities:
·         Compare and Provide Product team with market intelligence on price/quality requirements
·         Inspect sample goods and products carefully to identify flaws, defects and inform Head of Products as appropriate
·         Constantly monitor the smallest details of every product that DealDey is purchasing and analyze its possibility of getting to customers with minimal defections
·         Conduct periodic price surveys from competitors and suppliers to ensure the deal bargain of all DealDey Proprietary products on the website
·         To work closely with the Products team to ensure adherence to defined product standards

 Qualification, Experience and Knowledge:
·         Minimum of a University degree in any related discipline

Retail/Liquidation Supervisor

Reports to: Head of Product
Department: Purchasing/Products
Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose Statement:
The role holder would be responsible for managing retail store staff within the business. Coordinates entry and exit of merchandise from stores, coordinates and assists all business related queries from customers and staff.

Accountabilities:
·         Liaise with Head of Products to strategize on how to meet set targets
·         Sell merchandise
·         Ensure merchandise is clean and well displayed at all times
·         Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff
·         Delegate duties to retail staff and monitor performance
·         Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
·         Authorize return of merchandise where necessary
·         Maintain specified inventory and ensure there is no stock out
·         Prepare reports on sales volumes
·         Facilitate, attend to and proffer workable solutions to all operational and sales issues escalated promptly by liaising with all relevant departments until issues are resolved
·         Quarterly performance review with other heads with the aim of improving performance

Digital Marketing Strategist

Reports to: COO

Purpose Statement:
The role holder would be responsible for recommending, prioritizing, and deploying an appropriate mix of marketing strategies and tactics in the digital space to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic in support of the overall digital/social media strategies.
  
Accountabilities:
  • Develop and oversee digital strategies and solutions – across multiple digital channels
  • Manage the day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines including the campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and optimization of paid search campaigns
  • Design measurement, testing, and optimization mechanisms to evaluate and drive the success of campaigns
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of each campaign
  • Research & analyze online consumer behaviour across existing and new digital technology platforms

Marketing Manager

Purpose Statement:
This role would ensure a marketing direction for the, growth of the DealDey brand, responsible for formulation and execution of marketing strategies necessary to drive improved brand perception, conversion rates and online revenue as well as achieving online customer acquisition numbers.
  
 Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding online revenue targets and developing plans to make up for any shortfalls in revenue.
  • Possess clear understanding and point of view on the entire shopping experience and develop action plan to improve customer experience.
  • Identify and document website enhancements with an understanding for the complexities and opportunities related to direct mail marketing expense.
  • Expand the DealDey brand frontiers across Nigeria and West Africa.
  • Investigate, recommend and implement new enhancements that can increase revenue, brand awareness and improve overall customer experience by analyzing the results of ongoing efforts.
  • Manage online customer acquisition and retention programs including SEM, SEO, email, affiliate, and social marketing.
  • Plan, organize and produce all e-mail campaigns, homepages and relevant creative content per the marketing calendar to drive traffic and increase conversions on the website
  • Use Google Analytics and other business tracking tools to make strategic and tactical recommendations.
  • Benchmark, measure and analyze results of online marketing initiatives such as e-mail campaigns, promotions, SEO marketing, affiliate program and future online marketing initiatives.
Qualification, Experience and Knowledge:
This position requires a graduate with University Degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 5years working experience in Sales & Marketing or a similar position. An MBA would give added advantage. Candidate must possess excellent negotiation and communication skills (Written & Oral), Integrity, Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate effectively are very essential.
